stress relief... ahhhhhh

a "new to us" van. erg. a mini van. the epitome of parenthood. it took us ten years to reach this low. and i have to admit, it's pretty comfy! we always said we'd never do the mini van thing. it's so... domestic... it screams "we have kids! we are parents! we are no longer hip or cool!"...

yeah. but it's perfect. John's tools fit nicely into it with *loads* of room to spare, so it's great when he heads to work in it. the kids like the height of the seats (they can see out the windows!). and the room... ahhhh... it's rather nice to have elbow room... and elbow room to spare too!

erg... climbing into a mini van, no matter how big my gothy boots are or how dark my eye make-up is, just kills all hint of cool/goth/hip i might have had left at 31. guess i just need to accept it, stretch out and enjoy the ride, huh!

I've been anti-minivan too. I grew up in a truck family, that's what we have now. But it would be nice to be able to take someone extra with us sometimes! I didn't want a bigger truck than what we got, but I don't know...bigger truck...or minivan...
At least you got a red one! A little more individual, LOL. My truck is beige. Blah. I've lost it in several parking lots!

the first one we looked at was silver (or was it white? see, the colour was so stunning i already can't remember what it was). we were both like... meh... yeah, it's nice, but everyone has silver... or blue or green. but that one disappeared fast. which turned out to be good, because the one we got is in better shape (no rust on the underside) and it's RED - bonus! LOL.

i said to John we should get flames painted on it... so that we look like we're losers still trying to be cool instead of just accepting we're not cool anymore. he vetoed that. party pooper.

you've done very well, 3 kids and no mini van yet! i'm impressed! hold out... you can do it... stay cool baybeee! *wink*
